Thursday Afternoon 5/16

Wine + Wellness

Anyela’s Vineyards property which overlooks Skaneateles Lake

Activity Level- Low to Moderate (Yoga can be adjusted to each individual level)

Experience the beautiful and quaint village of Skaneateles. Considered the “gem of the Finger Lakes,” Skaneateles offers elegant accommodations, vineyards overlooking the lake and an array of wellness opportunities. Participate in a light yoga and meditation class at Sky Yoga followed by an onsite wine tasting by Anyela’s Vineyards. Take a sightseeing tour with Mid-Lakes Navigation on one of their vessels along Skaneateles Lake. Taste locally made wine paired with cheese at White Birch Vineyards tasting room. Wrap up your afternoon with a visit to the picturesque Anyela’s Vineyards property or take a stroll along boutique-lined village streets.

The one-of-a-kind waters of Green Lakes State Park

Activity Level- Moderate

Learn how Syracuse pairs locally made craft beverages with unforgettable views. Let us show you the best of our region with a visit to a farm brewery along with our favorite spots to explore nature. Explore the property of Heritage Brewhouse & Kitchen while tasting craft beverages and pay a visit their farm store. See the Instagram worthy wonders of Green Lakes State Park where you can paddle out onto turquoise green waters in a glass bottom boat. We’ll encourage you to chase waterfalls on this track with a visit to one of our favorite falls!

History + Culture

The Everson Museum of Art

Activity Level- Low to Moderate (Walking through museums)

Dive into the rich history and culture of Syracuse. This tour will include a visit to the Matilda Joslyn Gage Home for an eye-opening introduction to the work of a local women’s suffragist. Participants will then visit the Erie Canal Museum to see the enormous impact a canal way can make on a region. Art lovers will be able to take in the iconic history and exhibits of the Everson Museum of Art known for their world-class ceramic collection. Learn first-hand how we keep legacies alive with a visit to the historic Marriott Syracuse Downtown. You’ll even have the opportunity to sample Congress Beer– a local historic beer that has recently been brought back to life.

Friday Afternoon 5/17

Action + Adventure

Activity Level: High

Take an action packed journey into the adventurous side of Syracuse. Learn how to rock climb in an indoor gym with over 16,000 square feet of climbing terrain, bouldering opportunities and a climber oriented fitness center. Then take to Destiny USA to explore their indoor amusement park which offers everything from go-karting to an indoor suspended ropes course.

Family Fun

APEX Entertainment – Destiny USA

Activity Level: Low to Moderate (Walking around museum and zoo)

Syracuse is the perfect family fun getaway! Experience APEX Entertainment inside Destiny USA where there are endless opportunities to bumper kart, play arcade games, laser tag and bowl. See where learning meets play at the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology. Meet Asian elephants, red pandas, snow leopards and more at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The fun keeps going with a visit to Hercules Candies, a local candy store that has amassed a viral following on YouTube.

Agritourism

Activity Level: Low

See how farm meets table by experiencing the products native to our land. Join us on a visit to Beak and Skiff to see firsthand how a crop can turn an orchard into a destination. Taste hard cider, roam the orchards, try cider donuts and shop the country store. This track will include a variety of opportunities to see how our local agriculture scene provides the region the perfect resources for local products.
